Many of us are familiar with the famous Australian Nursery Rhyme "Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree" about the notorious laughing Kookaburra, named as such as it makes a sound like a raucous cackle. And so, it is in this curious design, as the Kookaburra looks up in song with his trademark brown eyed banding and rufous tail, before turning to the right and left to see if he has an audience under the spikey, delicate, cherry-red coloured stamens and yellow anthers of a Eucalyptus tree.
